 The Gist... 

The Business Analyst serves as the liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, and operations teams to ensure business requirements are effectively translated into technical solutions. The individual supports requirements management, business process analysis, Agile delivery, testing, and stakeholder engagement activities supporting large-scale IT modernization and DevSecOps initiatives.

What Your Day Might Include...
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, process mapping sessions, and requirements gathering activities.
  • Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, technical, and operational requirements.
  • Develop business process models, workflow diagrams, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Agile Team Leads, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to support solution development and delivery.
  • Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and requirements traceability activities.
  • Develop test scenarios, support user acceptance testing, validate delivered functionality, and ensure requirements are successfully implemented.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend opportunities for automation, modernization, and operational improvement.
  • Develop reports, presentations, executive briefings, and project documentation supporting stakeholder communications.
  • Support risk management, issue resolution, change management, and governance activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience serving as a Business Analyst supporting technology initiatives.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting Agile and Scrum delivery environments.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting federal government agencies or highly regulated industries preferred.
  • Experience supporting large-scale IT modernization, cloud transformation, software development, DevSecOps, and enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Experience utilizing Jira, Confluence, and Mural for requirements management, Agile planning, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Experience developing business process models, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, workflow diagrams, and requirements traceability matrices.
  • Experience supporting testing activities utilizing Jira, Selenium, Playwright, SoapUI, Insomnia, TestCafe, or comparable testing and validation tools.
  • Experience supporting cloud and DevSecOps environments utilizing AWS services, GitHub Enterprise, Harness, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise software delivery frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
