Job description

West Monroe is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing Inside Sales team. This role is a foundational step in a sales career and offers the opportunity to develop strong client engagement, demand generation, and pipeline development skills while working closely with senior sellers and consulting leaders. 
With continued growth expected across our practices, this role will play a critical part in identifying and generating new consulting opportunities with prospective and existing clients. 
As a BDR, you will focus on creating qualified sales opportunities through omnichannel outreach, following up on inbound interest, and executing targeted outbound campaigns. You will partner closely with Marketing, Business Development Executives, and consulting line sellers to build pipeline and accelerate revenue growth.

What You'll Do 
Demand Generation & Pipeline Development 
  • Execute timely follow-up on marketing-generated leads, converting interest into qualified sales opportunities 
  • Conduct targeted outbound outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage prospective clients and create new pipeline opportunities 
  • Manage lead and outreach activity in HubSpot to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and handoff to sales partners 
  • Support follow-up with attendees from marketing programs, events, and campaigns 
  • Collaborate with account teams to identify new buying centers and expansion opportunities within existing accounts 
  • Work closely with our Alliances team to execute joint campaigns with our ecosystem partners 
  • Assist with outbound campaigns and special projects designed to generate new opportunities with priority prospects 
Sales Collaboration & Operations 
  • Partner closely with Marketing and Business Development Executives to ensure coordinated campaign execution and lead follow-up 
  • Maintain and improve the quality of CRM data and client reference materials 
  • Provide insights on lead quality, conversion trends, and campaign performance to improve go-to-market effectiveness 
  • Support the transition of qualified opportunities to consulting sellers and pursuit teams 
  • Support sales calls & the pursuit process, where applicable 
 Sales Performance Expectations 
  • Demonstrate strong prospecting and lead conversion capabilities in a B2B sales environment 
  • Develop and manage opportunities that contribute meaningfully to annual pipeline and revenue targets 
  • Engage effectively with both business and technology stakeholders within client organizations 
  • Exhibit a proactive "hunter" mindset in identifying and pursuing new opportunities 
What We're Looking For 
Experience 
  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or demand generation preferred 
  • Experience in B2B, SaaS, technology, or professional services sales is required 
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales technology (HubSpot & Salesforce preferred) 
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model (2 days a week in-office)
