Job Title: Associate Consultant – Infrastructure & Energy Services

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $50 - $65/ hour


Position Summary

Phoenix Staff is seeking an Associate Consultant to join a growing consulting team supporting organizations within the infrastructure and energy sectors. This opportunity is ideal for an early to mid-career professional who enjoys solving complex business and technical challenges, working collaboratively with clients, and contributing to project success from planning through execution.

The ideal candidate combines a technical foundation with strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with project teams and stakeholders to evaluate operational challenges and develop practical business and technical solutions.
  • Analyze operational processes, technologies, regulatory considerations, and industry best practices to support client initiatives.
  • Assist with project coordination, planning activities, documentation, and overall project execution.
  • Develop reports, presentations, technical documentation, and supporting materials for client engagements.
  • Contribute to financial evaluations, business cases, investment analyses, and performance measurement initiatives.
  • Prepare and communicate project findings, recommendations, and key insights to both technical and business audiences.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and stakeholder communication throughout project delivery.
  • Monitor developments in the energy and infrastructure industries, including evolving regulations, technologies, and market trends.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by contributing ideas, documentation, and knowledge-sharing across the consulting practice.


Qualifications

  • Education, experience, or technical training that provides a foundational understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, or related engineering principles. Examples may include:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or another related technical discipline.
  • Professional experience working with electrical, electronic, or industrial systems.
  • An equivalent combination of technical coursework, certifications, and hands-on field experience.
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in consulting, utilities, energy, infrastructure, engineering, or a related industry.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong interest in consulting and professional growth.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with reporting or data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Python, or similar platforms is beneficial.
  • Graduate-level business education or relevant business experience is considered an advantage.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting consulting engagements, business transformation, or project delivery initiatives.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement or project management methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or comparable frameworks.
