Position:   Associate Director, Non-Bank Financial Institutions, Treasury Management Officer - Global Transaction Banking Sales

Purpose
As Associate Director, Non-Bank Financial Institutions ('NBFI'), Treasury Management Officer (TMO), you will oversee a portfolio of global NBFIs (Insurers, Asset Managers, Broker/Dealers, Exchanges, among others), creating and executing on client-focused strategic plans to deliver against the priorities of Global Transaction Banking ('GTB'). The Associate Director will partner closely with their leadership, Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) global relationship managers, product managers, strategic pricing, risk and other key internal stakeholders to support this plan execution. You'll serve as a trusted advisor and single point of contact across all markets, offering dedicated GTB coverage for all products including deposits, cash management and trade finance. TMOs are organized by industry sector and coordinate the overall GTB relationship with in-country subsidiary coverage to provide a consistent and simplified client experience. By leveraging your industry leading expertise in global liquidity management, payables and receivables optimization, alternative and emerging payments, foreign exchange, working capital solutions, and digital transformation, you'll strengthen existing connections, prospect new ones and introduce clients to strategic partners as you deliver Scotiabank's global value proposition and local transaction banking platform. 

Accountabilities 
   Delivering a customer focused approach to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. 
   Developing and implementing strategies to identify and secure new transaction banking business, while strategically managing and expanding existing client relationships to maximize revenue growth.
   Serving as the primary transaction banking relationship contact for CFOs, Treasurers, VPs of Finance, and Controllers, to provide integrated transaction banking solutions within a consultative and client driven framework.
   Leading the delivery of thought leadership to the market, prospects, and clients, in collaboration with solution/product partners on all transaction banking related topics at client roundtables, industry conferences, webinars, and client events.
   Responsible for delivering a seamless end to end client experience through effective stakeholder management and collaboration with solutions specialists and leading business process reviews aligned to key client sales opportunities.
   Effectively communicating to an executive audience to build internal alignment and support of client objectives. 
   Sharing industry leading best practices, ideas, and strategies while partnering with internal product stakeholders to represent the client perspective in the development and evolution of complex products and solutions.
   Delivering thought leadership to the market, prospects, and clients, in collaboration with solution/product partners on all transaction banking related topics at client roundtables, industry conferences, webinars, and client events.
   Leading relationship capital allocation, RoRWA returns and pricing strategy and discussions with internal partners.
   Collaborating with key partners including Group Treasury, Global Risk Management, Capital Markets, Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Operations, Fulfillment and Servicing.
   Deploying an effective sales, KPI, and pipeline management strategy, diligently documenting client activities, maintaining a structured client calling schedule (in-person and virtual), engaging executives and internal partners appropriately and impactfully.  
   Conducting oneself to pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective area, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Education / Experience / Other Information 
   5 years' experience within the financial services industry with a minimum of 3 years of transaction banking experience incl. global cash management, liquidity management, trade & working capital solutions, and / or corporate banking or global banking experience.
   University degree (Master's degree preferred). CFA and/or CTP considered an asset.
   Knowledge and understanding of transaction banking products, credit and risk processes and pricing philosophy, impactfully delivered to multi-national corporate clients in the FI space. 
   Proven negotiation and active listening skills, demonstrating critical and strategic thinking.
   Concern and regard for managing operational and enterprise risk.
   Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals as a proven top individual contributor.
   Proven track record of prioritizing competing priorities and leading small groups while delegating tasks.
   Prior experience effectively communicating to an executive audience, internally and externally.
   Strong creative solutioning and motivation for process improvement
   Demonstrated efficient use of CRM tools such as Salesforce, or others, to communicate portfolio activities.
   Spanish language competency is an advantage.
