We are seeking a highly motivated RPA Software Developer to support the Navy Information Operations Command Hawaii (NIOCH) by developing intelligent automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and mission effectiveness.
This is an exciting opportunity to leverage Microsoft Power Platform technologies while supporting national defense operations.
Position Summary
The RPA Software Developer will support the Navy Information Operations Command Hawaii (NIOCH) by designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions and business intelligence capabilities. Working closely with the N6 Information Technology Directorate, you will automate business processes, improve information management, and help modernize organizational workflows across NIOCH and its subordinate commands.
Key Responsibilities
As an RPA Software Developer, you will:
  • Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions.
  • Collaborate with the N6 Information Technology staff to gather automation and business intelligence requirements.
  • Develop workflow automations using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for all automations, workflows, data sources, and implementation details.
  • Improve and optimize existing automation solutions and business intelligence tools.
  • Evaluate Information Management (IM) and Knowledge Management (KM) repositories and recommend improvements to support automation initiatives.
  • Maintain existing RPA solutions and assist with ongoing enhancements.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend automation opportunities that increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Support business intelligence initiatives using Microsoft 365 tools and available Power Platform technologies.
  • Ensure all solutions comply with Department of Defense policies, security requirements, and organizational standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience developing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience documenting technical solutions, workflows, and business processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative government team.

Required Certifications
The following certifications must be obtained within one month of employment (DP&R will reimburse examination fees):
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Automate RPA Developer Associate (PL-500)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400)

Security Clearance
Required
  • Active Secret Security Clearance required prior to start date.
  • Must be able to maintain the clearance throughout the period of performance.
