Location: Boston, MA. This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work remotely part of the week, with at least one day per week in the office to collaborate with the team.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to practice in Massachusetts and have current product liability or personal injury experience. Admission in Rhode Island, Connecticut, or New Hampshire is strongly preferred.

Job Description

  • Support partners and senior associates on major civil litigation matters from initial pleadings through discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and trial
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, reports, and case related correspondence
  • Assist with case strategy, factual investigation, legal research, document review, and witness preparation
  • Manage discovery workflows, analyze records, and help develop key facts and themes for complex litigation matters
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, court appearances, mediations, and trial preparation as experience allows
  • Work on matters involving institutional clients, product liability, toxic tort, catastrophic injury, and other high exposure civil litigation
  • Collaborate with a team that values strong writing, sharp analysis, responsiveness, and practical judgment

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of product liability or personal injury experience, ideally in a law firm litigation department
  • Active Massachusetts bar admission required
  • Rhode Island, Connecticut, or New Hampshire bar admission preferred
  • Experience supporting civil litigation matters from pleadings through discovery required
  • Product liability, toxic tort, catastrophic injury, or complex litigation experience preferred
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines, stay organized, and contribute in a fast paced litigation environment
  • Professional, responsive, team oriented approach with strong attention to detail
