Associate Attorney / Lateral Attorney Opportunities
Locations: North Carolina & South Carolina (Multiple Offices / Statewide Opportunities)
We are seeking highly motivated Associate Attorneys and Lateral Transfers to join our growing practice across North and South Carolina, including Charlotte, Fayetteville, Southern Pines, Leland, and Columbia. Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage cases independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload independently from inception through resolution
  • Attend court proceedings including trials, motion hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and related proceedings.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, discovery, and legal memoranda
  • Communicate with clients, brokers, lenders, witnesses, and opposing counsel
  • Collaborate with team members across multiple offices

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina and/or South Carolina
  • 1+ years of experience preferred (new graduates will also be considered for associate roles)
  • Experience in litigation, real estate, or creditors' rights strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications for Lateral Candidates
  • Established experience in one or more of the firm's practice areas
  • Portable book of business (preferred but not required)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships

Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files (up to 15 lbs), open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
