Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a Sports Information Student Worker- Institutional Student Worker position. The Sports Information Student Worker assists the Athletic Communications team for all game day operations relating to the broadcast production and live statistic reporting for the Peach Belt Conference and the NCAA.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a member of the Nighthawk Sports Network production crew.
  • Serve as on-air talent for home athletic events that are streamed live.
  • Assist with live statistics input for the NCAA and PBC offices.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of game day press boxes and equipment.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications & Marketing.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • General knowledge of sports offered at UNG.
  • Good communication and time management skills are assumed qualities of every successful candidate as is a willingness to perform required manual labor (lifting, carrying, long periods of standing and/or walking), and other duties as assigned.
  • Candidates should be comfortable in front of large crowds, be willing to work with people, be a team player, and follow through with tasks assigned to them.
  • The successful candidate will be highly motivated to represent UNG Athletics in a positive manner.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker
