Job description

Large legal firm seeking a Senior Application Developer. Please only apply if you are already in the Chicago area. There is no relocation and this position REQUIRES 3 days in office. Non-Negotiable.

The Senior Application Developer role leads the customization and support of critical business applications and the data integrity across systems. They will lead the design and development of application workflows, integrations, databases, and other solutions to address business requirements within the organization. They will be the primary technical point of contact between the business unit and the Information Technology (IT) department. They will demonstrate a proactive approach by being a self-starter and identifying opportunities for improvement. Additionally, they will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to other team members.

  • MUST HAVE In-depth experience with financial software applications such as Elite 3E, Intapp Time, Iridium, and Emburse Enterprise. Intapp is extremely important.
  • Set the strategic technical architecture, software methodologies, processes, implementation planning and software maintenance for critical business-centric systems.
  • Act as the primary technical SME for how technical solutions serve business processes and system integrations.
  • Translate high level business requirements into workable solutions at all stages of the project process from design to implementation.
  • Lead Level 2 support to resolve issues in a timely manner for our domestic and global offices.
  • Set and uphold standards and best practices for application developers such as design, build, source code, and testing.
  • Produce high quality, modular, reusable code that incorporates current best practices for our domestic and global offices.
  • Mentor team members to foster their professional growth and promote a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement, efficiency gains, and innovation within the software development lifecycle, driving continuous improvement initiatives across the Firm.
  • Advanced proficiency with Boomi backed by practical experience.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge.
  • Excellent programming experience with C# or other object oriented languages.
  • In-depth experience with financial software applications such as Elite 3E, Intapp Time, Iridium, and Emburse Enterprise,
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications for the intended audience.
  • Litera support experience preferred.
  • AI experience preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of software development experience and 3 years in the legal industry.
  • Bachelor or Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems and/or Accounting, Finance, Business Administration.
  • Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
