Job description

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.

The Measurement Automation Technician is responsible for supporting liquid, gas, and mass measurement systems while working closely with Engineering and Pipeline Operations. This role involves installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining measurement, communications, and SCADA equipment across various facilities.

   Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and commission measurement, communications, and SCADA equipment.
  • Program and troubleshoot liquid and gas flow computers, RTUs, and associated control equipment.
  • Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of gas, liquid, and NGL measurement systems.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain analytical and communications equipment.
  • Utilize laptops and specialized software applications daily to configure and support measurement systems.
  • Coordinate installation activities with Engineering teams.
  • Work closely with Pipeline Operations and Liquids and Gas Control Centers to ensure reliable measurement and control operations.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system reliability and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Vocational-Technical certificate or associate's degree in electronics or a related field, or equivalent applicable field experience.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email, with experience configuring liquid and gas measurement software.
  • Preferred experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of measurement, communications, and SCADA equipment.
  • Ability to understand, operate, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of mechanical and technical systems.
  • Valid driver's license is required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, precipitation, variable heights, and unstable terrain.
  • Must be able to travel daily to multiple field locations, with occasional overnight travel required.
