Job Title: Customer Lead - Helo / T56 - Validation & Verification

Working Pattern: Fulltime

Working location: Indianapolis, IN

As a Mature Programs V&V Team Lead, you will be responsible for providing Project Management, Leadership and Systems Engineering expertise to support the T56 and Helo Engines. The Mature Program V&V Team has both Project and Systems Engineers who collaborate to support delivery and safety. You will lead significant projects that have high impact in terms of safety and delivery. You will be a key interface between Operations and the Supply Chain on behalf of the T56 and Helo Engineering Team.

What you will be doing:

In this exciting opportunity, you will be expected to interface and manage external customers. Your project management will be influential in re-engineering the aging supply chain with new technologies like ALM.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead either the Helicopter or the T56 program V&V engineers and projects.
  • Establish / manage appropriate Requirements, Design Rationale Evidence, Design Definition and Verification Information for either T56 or Helo projects.
  • Be the point of contact for a given program (Helo or T56) to support and coach the team regarding Systems Engineering, Validation and Verification activities, driving the right V&V behaviors within the project.
  • Take ownership of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and own CAM responsibilities for your given projects
  • Lead program technical reviews
  • Provide support to SARs and Red Top Closures

Basic Requirements:

  • Associate's degree with 7+ years of experience in Aerospace, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering OR;
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering OR;
  • Masters degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering OR;
  • PhD in Engineering
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • Proven Leadership completing projects with complexity and high business impact.
  • System level engineering understanding.
  • Technical experience involving gas turbine hardware and systems.
  • Ability to understand manufacturing engineering and supply chain perspectives.
  • Ability to make sound decisions with limited information.
  • Experience managing a component from clean sheet through test.
  • Strong technical writing ability / experience.
  • Strong communication, relationship building, and ability to create visual diagrams to influence and share information.
