Job Title: Assembly & Test Engineer

Working Pattern: Onsite

Working location: West Lafayette, IN

A new opportunity has arisen for an Assembly & Test Engineer. As the Assembly & Test Engineer, you will provide Manufacturing assistance to the larger Operations Assembly and Test activities. This role will operate within the Defense Manufacturing, Assembly, & Test (MA&T) Team and will work across the full product and service life cycle to ensure delivery of product to internal plan to meet commitments to our customers in both original equipment production and the MRO. This role will drive long-term improvements in Quality, Cost and Delivery, with an emphasis on Quality Assurance and adherence to quality systems.

What you will be doing:

Here you'll have the opportunity to work on the following:

  • Create manufacturing work orders, work plans, test plans and test procedures
  • Interface with suppliers providing service to equipment
  • Provide assistance to test engineering in the conduct of fuel system component testing
  • Developing programs to ensure the performance and quality of products conform to established standards, specifications, and agency guidelines
  • Developing, maintaining, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance programs and policies

Basic Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 3+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 1+ year of experience OR
  • Master's degree Aviation or Aerospace Engineering Technology
  • To be considered for this position, you must be a US Citizen

Preferred:

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate preferred
  • Experience of electronic engine controls
  • Experience of GD&T system
  • Experience reading blueprints
  • Experience employing inspection techniques
  • Experience with Quality Systems
