Hendricks Community Hospital Association is seeking a qualified individual to join our team!
Position Highlights
Hendricks Community Hospital Association is seeking a qualified individual to join our team! We are looking for a Resident Assistant to work with our assisted living residents.
Weekend differentials available. Every third weekend and holiday rotation is required
Starting hourly wage is $19 an hour. Rate is based upon experience.
Shift hours are 9am to 2pm
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous experience with geriatric resident care preferred.
  • Previous experience with housekeeping and laundry tasks preferred.
  • Ability to follow sanitation and safety procedures as established by food service standards and the HCHA dietary department.
  • Must be able to plan and prioritize resident needs.
  • Must be able to work with geriatric tenants and understand their special needs.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Must possess good organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Requires analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and solve problems.
  • Must exhibit a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
  • Good leadership, initiative, and judgment skills preferred.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
  • Supports a high level of customer service to the assisted living tenants through communication, attitude, responsiveness and engagement.
  • Work closely with the Lifestyle and Wellness Coordinator on enrichment opportunities for residents.
  • Assists the assisted living tenants with needs based on services provided according to the facility Universal Disclosure of Assisted Living Services and Amenities (UDALSA).
  • Provides resident safety checks according to current facility policy.
  • Pick up breakfast trays from resident rooms.
  • Assist with meal serving and room tray deliveries as needed in collaboration with the dietary department.
  • Clean the dining room and process the dishes following the noon meal.
  • Keep facility clean and tidy.
  • Maintains knowledge and practices infection control procedures.
  • Knows safety and emergency procedures such as fire, tornado, disaster, etc. Respects resident confidentiality.
  • Reports pertinent observations and significant changes in tenant's condition to the Clinical Nurse Supervisor.
  • Attends in-services and staff meetings.
  • Maintain CPR certification.
  • Complete all required education upon hire and annually thereafter.
