Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate, organized, and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at a nursing home facility. As the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff, the receptionist plays a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment while performing essential administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet residents, family members, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and respectful manner.
Answer and route phone calls promptly and professionally.
Monitor and control visitor access in accordance with facility policies.
Maintain accurate visitor logs and assist with sign-in/sign-out procedures.
Provide basic information about the facility to families and visitors.
Assist with clerical duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and data entry.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area.
Support administrative staff and nursing staff with documentation and communication needs.
Respond calmly and appropriately in emergency or high-pressure situations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably in a healthcare or senior care setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Compassionate demeanor and patience when interacting with elderly residents and their families.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and office equipment.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a nursing home, assisted living, or healthcare environment.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and infection control procedures.
Work Environment:
Nursing home front desk/lobby area
Interaction with residents, staff, medical professionals, and the public
Shifts may include weekends or holidays depending on facility needs
Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
