Job description

Office & Service Support Associate

Hawk Auto Group – LaSalle-Peru | Chevrolet · Mercedes-Benz · Nissan

3675 Frontage Road, Peru, IL 61354

Full-time, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday availability required | $16.00–$17.00 per hour

We're looking for a dependable, self-motivated person to keep our service department and front office moving. This is an active role behind the desk and the other duties includes driving. If you like variety and don't want to sit still all day, this is a good fit.

What you'll do:

• Drive our service shuttle and pick up and return customers throughout the area (Princeton, Ottawa, Sheridan, Dwight, Streator, LaSalle and Peru)

• Move loaner vehicles, transport vehicles for the sales department, and run parts deliveries as needed

• Manage the loaner fleet — prepare agreements, track availability and mileage, inspect vehicles on return for fuel and condition, and coordinate cleaning

• Open repair orders in our service system for used vehicle inspections and new vehicle pre-delivery inspections

• Receive and inspect new vehicle deliveries for transport damage and process damage claims

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls and assist customers at the front counter

• Scan, file and maintain warranty, internal and customer repair orders

• Assist the office with deal jackets, stocking vehicles into our system, and dealer trade paperwork

• Keep the customer lounge clean, stocked and presentable

• Support multiple departments with daily operational needs

What we're looking for:

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record — driving is a daily part of this job

• Availability to work an occasional Saturday as business needs require

• Reliable and on time, with a strong customer service presence in person and on the phone

• Organized and detail-oriented, especially with paperwork and records

• Comfortable with basic computer work; Excel experience helpful

• Willing to move between departments and pitch in without being asked twice

• Dealership or automotive office experience is a plus, but not required — we will train the right person

We offer a stable, family-owned work environment and full training on our systems.
