Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Sierra-Cedar is seeking a certified and experienced Workday Financial Solutions Architect with a specialization in Grants and Projects. Â If you are passionate about Workday technology, assisting clients, and all the challenges that go with being a consultant, you will want to be a part of our team. Our people have the skills and business expertise to provide exceptional consulting services to clients, helping them gain the optimum benefit from their Workday software. This position requires 50% travel with projects executed on-site at Sierra-Cedar locations nationwide. Â
RESPONSIBILITIES
Be the Workday functional expert and lead clients through the design sessions, capture requirements and define project scope
Guide clients through all project phases including discovery,  design, configuration and testing
Assist clients in fully integrating the Workday system into their current business environments
Advise client on options, risks, and any impacts on other processes or systems
Work closely with the data team on tenant builds and the integration team with design and configuration of interfaces
Assist the Project Manager in development and review or project timeline and deliverables
Lead Delivery Assurance reviews
Provides mentoring and product guidance to Senior Consultants and Principal Consultants
Continually seek ways to improve the process of delivering Workday solutions
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS
Workday certification is required for this position
Minimum of two to three (2-3) years implementing Workday Projects and Grants in the Public Sector and/or Higher Education
Extensive experience as a functional lead in at least three (3) of the following areas: Grant and/or Fund Management, Projects, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Fixed Assets, Cash/Treasury, Financial Reporting
Experience re-engineering finance business processes
Experience developing functional business integration requirements
Experience with 3rd party integration providers
Knowledge of accounting principles, standards and compliance
Advanced MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, v lookups) and MS office skills
Experience with Workday calculated fields
CPA or CMA is a plus
