About Still Austin Whiskey Co
Still Austin is the first true grain-to-glass distillery to open in Austin since the end of Prohibition and one of the fastest-growing craft whiskey brands in the United States. Rooted in creativity, craftsmanship, and community, Still Austin is expanding its hospitality footprint through the Still Austin Quarter (SAQ)-a destination featuring a restaurant, lounge, café, welcome center, and event spaces. Hospitality is central to our brand, and every guest interaction reflects our commitment to quality, authenticity, and care.
Position Summary
The Host is the first impression and primary brand ambassador for guests visiting the Still Austin Quarter. This role sets the tone for the entire experience by delivering warm, genuine hospitality, guiding guests through the space, and ensuring every interaction reflects Still Austin's values, energy, and commitment to care.
This individual welcomes guests into the space as if it were their own-creating connection, excitement, and ease from the moment guests arrive.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Guest Experience & Brand Representation
  • Serve as the first impression and primary brand ambassador for all guests.
  • Promptly, warmly, and enthusiastically greet guests and guide them through the venue.
  • Curate genuine hospitality experiences that promote brand loyalty and guest connection.
  • Welcome guests into the space as though it is their own-setting a tone of care, pride, and excitement.
  • Exhibit confidence, warmth, and professionalism in every interaction.
  • Express genuine enthusiasm for engaging with guests and supporting their experience.

Venue Flow & Experience Support
  • Assist in directing guests to appropriate seating areas and guiding them through the venue, including patio, lounge, and event spaces.
  • Support guest movement, flow, and experience throughout the space.
  • Assist guests with questions, navigation, and general needs.
  • Eagerly support photo opportunities for guests in staged settings (e.g., staircase, baby grand, branded spaces).
  • Assist in addressing guest opportunities for improvement and service recovery needs in partnership with leadership.

Brand Knowledge & Communication
  • Maintain current, thorough knowledge of the Still Austin brand, including history, flagship spirits, limited-time offerings, activations, promotions, and events.
  • Confidently share brand stories, event information, and venue offerings with guests.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with guests and internal teams.

Operational Support & Standards
  • Maintain integrity, cleanliness, and presentation of guest-facing areas.
  • Support hospitality teams as needed to ensure seamless service.
  • Demonstrate strong multitasking skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Adhere to all safety, food handling, and responsible alcohol service standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and guest engagement skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, late nights, and some holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

Experience & Certifications
  • Preferred experience in hospitality, guest services, or customer-facing roles.
  • Current TABC Certification required.
  • Current Texas Food Handler's Certification required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role requires the ability to:
