At Watermelon Swim, a Best Place to Work, we build safer swimmers and strong teams. The Assistant Aquatics Manager supports daily aquatics operations, team development, scheduling, and customer experience, working closely with the Aquatics Manager.

What You’ll Do

  • Support daily operations of year-round aquatics programs
  • Assist with team scheduling, coverage, and shift management
  • Build and maintain class schedules to optimize pool space and staffing
  • Interview, onboard, and train new team members
  • Support instructor development through coaching and feedback
  • Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and care
  • Assist with team training and water safety education programs
  • Maintain class organization (levels, awards, lane assignments, consistency)
  • Track program activity and maintain accurate records and reports
  • Support communication between families, team members, and leadership
  • Foster a positive, team-focused environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 6 months of management or leadership experience
  • Aquatics experience required
  • Current CPR/First Aid, Lifeguard, and Water Safety Instructor certifications
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work 2 evenings and 1 weekend day weekly
  • Ability to travel between locations as needed
