Job description

A Tow Truck Driver operates specialized recovery vehicles and standard tow trucks to assist customers by towing vehicles safely and efficiently. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team, often on 24/7 rotating shifts. Drivers may perform short and long-distance towing and occasionally travel outside the local area to fulfill service needs. Ensuring driver safety, vehicle maintenance, and providing excellent customer assistance are key aspects of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Tow vehicles safely using specialized recovery vehicles and standard tow trucks
  • Operate effectively both independently and within a team environment
  • Provide excellent customer assistance during vehicle recovery and towing
  • Maintain and inspect tow trucks to ensure operational safety
  • Adhere to driver safety protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Manage short and long-distance towing assignments
  • Work 24/7 rotating shifts to respond promptly to towing requests
  • Travel occasionally beyond the local area as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in vehicle operation
  • Possession of a DCA License (required)
  • Tow Truck License
  • Strong vehicle operation skills
  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Effective time management
