Assistant Utility Issue Adjudicator

Position Overview
UtiliSave has been an industry leader in utility bill auditing and energy efficiency services for over 35 years, and we are still growing rapidly. We are seeking curious, analytical action-takers to assist the Utility Adjudicator and broader auditing team in resolving utility issue adjustments on behalf of our clients. This role interfaces directly with utility companies to ensure that issue adjustments submitted by the auditing team are completed, making strong professional communication, presentation, and process management skills essential.
This is an ideal entry-level position for a self-starter who is always curious and proactive to constantly improve the way things are done. It offers a fast path to becoming a valuable part of the team, with clear opportunities to advance and grow your skills.
What You'll Build Here
You will help drive the resolution of utility issue adjustments identified by our auditing team, ensuring that savings opportunities uncovered through our proprietary IT and knowledge-based systems are actually implemented by the utility. Our clients are large organizations with significant energy and utility usage, such as hospitals, nursing homes, commercial and residential buildings, universities, hotels, and government facilities. Primary Responsibilities: Utility Issue Resolution• Utility Communication: Actively follow up, track, and resolve data management issues with utility companies via phone and email and obtain information from utilities and customers..
• Documentation and Tracking: Maintain a detailed, up-to-date records documenting the progress, status, and outcome of all open data management issues and weekly adjustments.
• Monitor and track the weekly progress of submissions and make certain that all issues are being properly tracked.
• Issue Resolution: Assist the Utility Adjudicator in review and analyzing rejected issues received from utility companies and coordinate appropriate responses to advance issues that the team still believes warrant adjudication.
• Auditor Coordination: Assist the Utility Adjudicator in communicating with the auditing team and obtaining documentation required for the resolution process.
• Legal Consultation: Assist the Utility Adjudicator to identify and escalate complex or questionable utility issues undergoing the adjudication process to the Legal Department for guidance and resolution strategy advise.

Requirements
Core Requirements
• 1-3 years of work experience with a demonstrated skill in out-of-the-box thinking and persuasiveness with administrative background preferred.
• A completed undergraduate degree (no more than six months from completion is also acceptable).
• A demonstrated ability to grasp and clearly explain technical and legal concepts and business issues in simple language.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Able to independently, solve problems, and think creatively and efficiently.
• Ability to prioritize a high-volume workload, meet deadlines

Work hours are 9-6 pm Eastern Standard Time.
You must be a resident in the United States living in a state with no more than a one (1) hour time difference from Eastern Standard Time.
