Job Description:
ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA) and Hümi, one of the nation's largest ENT, Allergy, and Audiology medical practices, is seeking a Full-Time Surgical Coordinator for our Upper East Side office.
Hourly: $25/hr
The Surgical Coordinator is responsible for scheduling all surgeries for the physicians in the office. This position reports directly to the Practice Site Administrator.
Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling all hospital and some in-office surgeries
  • Communicating with hospitals to perform all necessary pre-operative requirements
  • Contacting patients to explain responsibilities and all necessary pre-operative and post-operative requirements
  • Administering surgical prep packets to patients which contains all required paperwork to be completed prior to surgery
  • Precertifying all surgical procedures with the appropriate insurance company verifying eligibility, deductibles, and co pays.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Epic experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must have experience in the medical field and knowledge of medical insurance
  • Must have excellent communication and follow up skills

Schedule:
  • Monday: 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Tuesday: 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Wednesday: 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am-5:00pm
