Assistant Ugc information

What is an assistant UGC?

Assistant UGCs, or Assistant User-Generated Content creators, are individuals who help brands or companies produce authentic content such as reviews, unboxing videos, tutorials, and testimonials. Their main role is to assist in creating engaging and relatable digital content that resonates with target audiences on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Assistant UGCs often collaborate with marketing teams to brainstorm ideas, shoot videos, edit footage, and ensure content aligns with brand messaging. They may also help moderate user submissions, manage content calendars, and analyze performance metrics. This role is increasingly important as authentic content becomes central to digital marketing strategies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an assistant UGC?

To thrive as an Assistant UGC Manager, you need a solid understanding of digital marketing, content strategy, and social media platforms, often supported by a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), social media analytics tools, and basic photo/video editing software is typically required. Strong communication, creativity, and organizational skills help you engage communities and manage multiple content streams effectively. These skills are crucial to ensure authentic brand engagement, efficient content moderation, and successful UGC campaigns.

What are the typical challenges faced by an assistant UGC in managing user-generated content, and how can I prepare for them?

As an Assistant UGC (User-Generated Content), you’ll often encounter challenges such as moderating large volumes of content for quality and compliance, handling sensitive or inappropriate submissions, and ensuring timely responses to user contributions. Preparing for these challenges involves developing strong organizational skills, learning content moderation tools, and staying updated on platform guidelines and community standards. Collaboration with content creators, community managers, and technical teams is frequent, so effective communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Job description

Social Media & Content Marketing Intern

Location: Delray Beach, FL (On-Site Required)

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Company: Tabañero Holdings

Start Date: Immediate

Compensation: $15–$20 per hour (based on experience)

Company Overview

Tabañero Holdings is a fast-growing, premium condiment company known for bold, flavor-forward innovation across hot sauces, BBQ sauces, taco sauces, salsas, and specialty condiments. Backed by the private equity group behind Celsius Energy Drink and Rexall Sundown, Tabañero is rapidly expanding across retail, eCommerce, and foodservice channels nationwide.

As our brand continues to grow, we’re looking for a creative, social-first intern who understands what makes people stop scrolling, engage, share, and discover new brands.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Social Media & Content Marketing Intern to help bring the Tabañero brand to life across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other digital channels.

This is a hands-on role focused heavily on content creation, UGC, social media, community management, and influencer outreach. You’ll help brainstorm, shoot, edit, and publish content; engage directly with our social community; respond to customer questions and DMs; and identify and build relationships with creators who align with the Tabañero brand.

We want someone who spends time on social media, understands current trends and creator culture, and has a natural eye for content. You should be comfortable picking up a phone and creating—not just planning what someone else should create.

This is a part-time position with an immediate start date. Regular on-site work at our Delray Beach corporate office is required, with limited work-from-home flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm and develop engaging social content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Stories, Facebook, and other platforms
  • Film and edit short-form video content featuring Tabañero products, recipes, trends, events, and brand moments
  • Create authentic UGC-style content designed to feel native to social platforms
  • Stay on top of TikTok, Instagram, food, lifestyle, and creator trends and identify opportunities for Tabañero to participate
  • Help manage the day-to-day social content calendar and assist with scheduling and publishing content
  • Monitor and respond to DMs, comments, mentions, tags, and customer questions across Tabañero's social platforms
  • Provide timely, friendly, and on-brand responses to customer inquiries while knowing when to escalate an issue to the appropriate team member
  • Engage proactively with followers, creators, retailers, and relevant accounts to help build the Tabañero community
  • Help identify recurring customer questions, feedback, product requests, and social trends that can inform future content and marketing decisions
  • Identify and research potential influencers, micro-creators, food creators, lifestyle creators, and UGC partners
  • Conduct influencer outreach and help build relationships with creators who align with the Tabañero brand
  • Coordinate influencer product seeding, follow-ups, content tracking, and campaign organization
  • Monitor social and influencer performance and help identify which content, creators, and messaging are driving engagement
  • Assist with social content during company events, trade shows, retail activations, tailgates, and other brand experiences
  • Capture behind-the-scenes and real-time content at events
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on creative concepts, product launches, campaigns, and new ways to build brand awareness

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Digital Media, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Reels, UGC, influencers, and current social media trends
  • Comfortable filming content on an iPhone or similar device
  • Basic short-form video editing skills using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, or similar tools
  • Creative eye for composition, food, lifestyle, and social-first content
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to represent the Tabañero brand professionally and authentically in customer and creator conversations
  • Friendly, responsive, and comfortable communicating directly with customers through social media
  • Good judgment when handling customer questions, complaints, or sensitive interactions
  • Comfortable reaching out to new people and building relationships
  • Organized and able to manage multiple creators, conversations, content deadlines, and projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable appearing in social content when needed
  • Willing to jump in, experiment, and bring new creative ideas to the team
  • Previous social media, content creation, community management, customer service, influencer, or UGC experience is a plus—but not required
  • Personal TikTok, Instagram, UGC portfolio, or examples of content creation are a plus
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work on-site at our Delray Beach office

Events & Brand Activations

This role will also participate in company events, trade shows, retail activations, and other brand experiences. Responsibilities may include capturing social content, interacting with consumers, supporting product sampling, and assisting with event setup and breakdown.

Some events may occur outside standard business hours and require evening or weekend availability.

What You’ll Gain

  • Hands-on experience creating content for a rapidly growing national CPG brand
  • Real-world experience with UGC, influencer marketing, creator outreach, social media, and community management
  • Opportunity to create content that will be published across Tabañero's national social channels
  • Experience communicating directly with consumers and helping shape a brand's online voice
  • Experience working directly with influencers and content creators
  • Exposure to product launches, national retailers, events, and integrated marketing campaigns
  • Opportunity to test creative ideas and see firsthand what performs
  • Mentorship from an experienced marketing team
  • Potential pathway into a permanent marketing role based on performance

Schedule Requirements

Typical internship hours are:

  • Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Additional evening and weekend availability may be required for trade shows, retail activations, festivals, and company events.
