SPRAY TURF TECHNICAN

Starting Hourly Wage $22.00 to $25.00


Job Summary:
The Spray Technician is responsible for applying fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn and landscape treatments to residential and commercial properties. This role ensures healthy turf, plant growth, and effective weed and pest control while following all safety regulations and environmental guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply lawn care products, including fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides, according to company standards and label instructions.
  • Inspect lawns, trees, shrubs, and landscape areas to identify weeds, pests, diseases, and turf health concerns.
  • Operate spray rigs, spreaders, and other application equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Calibrate, clean, and maintain spray equipment and vehicles.
  • Keep accurate records of treatments performed, products used, and customer property information.
  • Follow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding chemical handling and application.
  • Communicate treatment recommendations and service details to customers.
  • Monitor weather conditions and adjust application schedules as needed.
  • Assist with general lawn care and landscape maintenance duties when required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • State pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Previous lawn care, landscaping, turf management, or chemical application experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of turfgrass, weeds, insects, and plant diseases is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily routes.
