The Director Assistant Treasurer role supports the Treasury function in managing the bank's liquidity, funding, capital, and interest rate risk activities. This role assists in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, optimizing cash and balance sheet management, and supporting strategic funding initiatives. The Director Assistant Treasurer works closely with Finance, Risk, ALM, Accounting, and external counterparties.

Key Responsibilities
    Assists with asset-liability management (ALM) by analyzing balance sheet trends, interest rate risk, and deposit behavior, and preparing materials for ALCO reporting.
  • Supports funding and capital markets activities, including wholesale funding transactions, debt management, and monitoring covenants and counterparty compliance.
  • Supports liquidity and cash management activities by monitoring daily cash positions, funding levels, and liquidity metrics to ensure the bank meets operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepares treasury-related financial analysis and reporting, including liquidity forecasts, cost of funds analysis, and management dashboards.
  • Supports regulatory reporting and examinations related to liquidity, funding, and treasury activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Assists with risk management activities, including liquidity stress testing, counterparty exposure monitoring, and hedging-related analysis.
  • Collaborates with Finance, Risk, Accounting, and Operations to support month-end and quarter-end close processes and ensure data accuracy across treasury accounts.
  • Supports treasury systems and process improvements, including maintaining data integrity, enhancing controls, and assisting with system implementations or reporting automation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 10 years of experience in banking, treasury, finance, or asset-liability management.
  • MBA, CFA, CPA, or CTP, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, balance sheet management, and interest rate risk, preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for banks, preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with treasury or ALM systems a plus, preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, preferred.
  • Attention to detail and strong controls mindset, preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment, preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, preferred.
  • Sound judgment and risk awareness, preferred.

Travel

  • Occasional travel a few days per quarter.
