The assistance project manager plays a vital role in supporting Brady's contracting project manager(s). The major function of this role is to interact with the project Manager(s) in the day-to-day tasks involved in development, pricing, planning and execution of projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Requires attention to details and the ability to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines.

Helps to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverable.

Prepares project close document at projects completion.

Is responsible for creating Microsoft project schedule as needed.

Handles take-off of drawings

Oversees the submittal review and approval process.

Manages multiple tasks and follow up with both internal and external customers.

Creates operation and maintenance manuals for Contracting PM's.

Assents PM's in getting pricing for all material, equipment, and subcontractors.

Works with PM to ensure all materials and equipment have been ordered and is scheduled to arrive prior to scheduling project start date.

Pulls all permits prior to starting project and schedules all inspection after project completion.

Assists with communication to vendors, subcontractors, field personnel, and customers.

Schedules meetings for projects and project updates.

Possesses working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications.

Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required Is responsible for working with Retrofit PMs for quoting light commercial unit replacements.

Familiarity with the operation of Energy Management Systems, HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls.

  • Notify Manager or Safety Manager of any unsafe conditions

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises contracting field personal in the Contracting Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school
