Summary

Responsible for delivering, and maintaining technical training programs for internal staff, service partners, and customers. Training sessions may take place at our facilities, or at remote, onsite locations. Assists sales and service staff with onsite service activity when available. Ensures training content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational standards and product updates. Facilitates instructor-led and virtual training sessions, creates training documentation, and supports continuous improvement of technical knowledge across the organization. Provides administrative and communication support related to training and service activities and assists with technical documentation and learning systems. Candidates with extensive hands-on experience with Mimaki products and field service operations are strongly preferred.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works with the Training Manager to develop, update, and deliver technical training programs for service technicians, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Works with the Training Manager to create and maintain training materials including manuals, presentations, videos, assessments, and digital learning content.
  • Conduct instructor‑led training (in‑person and virtual) on equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and best practices.
  • Support sales and onsite service initiatives during empty weeks in the master training schedule.
  • Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback to ensure competency and skill development.
  • Collaborate with Service, Technical Support, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure training content reflects current procedures and product updates.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation, service guides, and knowledge‑base content.
  • Support onboarding of new technical staff through structured training pathways.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements to curriculum, delivery methods, and materials.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams as needed.
  • Organize training information into digital formats, including reports, dashboards, and learning modules.
  • Maintain an organized training environment and present information in a logical sequence.
  • Set or modify priorities to accomplish short- and long-term training objectives.
  • Utilize a variety of tools to create visual representations of technical concepts and training data.
  • Review training processes regularly and implement improvements as required.
  • Complete special projects and administrative duties as required.
  • Perform other job‑related responsibilities and functions as directed by Management.

Computer Skills

Education and/or Experience

Batchelor's Degree or 4 years related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and write effectively to customers or associates of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
