As a Campus Pastor at Union, you will oversee the growth and direction of one of our campuses under the direction and leadership of the Executive Pastor of Campuses. The Campus Pastor must be confidently called and passionate about Union, the vision, our contagious culture, and systems. As a builder of people, the campus pastor works to coach and align staff, key leadership, and Dream Team members. The Campus Pastor will offer pastoral leadership to the campus and ensure that the church's systems, practices, and policies responsibly and effectively support Union's ministry activities.
Weekly Responsibilities (between Sundays)
  • Responsible for ensuring that the vision of the Senior Pastor is executed throughout every area of the organization, specifically as it pertains to the Sunday Experiences
  • Responsible for overall Sunday morning experience at assigned campus.
  • Empower and develop leaders while building meaningful relationships
  • Develop Strong Staff and Volunteer Leaders
    • Build and develop an effective, impactful, and healthy staff team by leading the hiring processes, providing spiritual care, developing their skill sets, and empowering them for their work of ministry.
    • Champion the development of every member to be used by God in ministry. The CP is the primary recruiter and ministry mobilizer. They are the door opener for ministry involvement.
  • Connect with the congregation at Experiences (connect with new people, love, encourage and pastor people, connect people with resources at Union Church)
  • Campus culture dispersion, protection, and saturation.
  • Leadership Pipeline, including identification, recruitment, and training of leaders.
  • Attend weekly Pastor's Meetings with all other staff pastors
  • Attend weekly meetings to review order of service for the coming weekend
  • Appointments with small group leaders, Dream Team, potential leadership
  • Evaluate connection cards weekly for prayer needs, info requests, etc.
  • Communicate upcoming events, etc., with the campus leadership team
  • Implement stage designs for series changes
  • Communicate with all campus leadership teams regarding weekend services
  • Coordinating regularly with departments at assigned campus
  • Continually building systems that will create growth at the campus level
  • Be available for appointments (counseling, pre-marital, etc.)
  • Respond to emails and phone calls within a 24 to 48-hour time frame
  • Plan/Implement monthly meetings with all campus Dream Team Coaches (leadership team)
  • Meet regularly with Dream Team Coordinator regarding Dream Team
  • Attend/Lead Saturday morning prayer at campus
  • Prepare a message each week in the event of technological malfunction

Weekend Responsibilities (Services)
  • Ensure the campus facility is opened and prepped for services
  • Connect with Campus Directors and Dream Team Coordinator and make sure all bases are covered
  • Facilitate all services on Sunday (Welcome, Commitment Time, Offering, Communion, etc.)
  • Greet, Love, encourage, and pastor people
  • Connect with new people
  • Be available for ministry time with individuals
  • Attend and help facilitate Water Baptisms
  • Lead/Assist with Growth Track as needed on Sundays

Special Events
  • Help plan, staff and implement all special events for the campus

Groups
  • Meet regularly with the campus Small Group Coordinator
  • Constantly recruiting new small group leaders
  • Locating and implementing coaches for each semester
  • Communicate weekly with small group leaders to support, encourage and serve them

Growth Track
  • Meet regularly with the campus Growth Track coordinator
  • Lead/Assist with Growth Track each Sunday
  • Lead/Assist with Water Baptism on the first Sunday of each month

Dream Team
  • Meet regularly with the campus Dream Team Coordinator
  • Monthly meetings with DT Coaches
  • Continually seeking out potential Dream Team members

Coverage Responsibilities and Expectations:
  • Worship Services (Sundays and potential of Saturday night services)

Pastoral Responsibilities:
  • Be available to assist in crises, hospital visits, funerals, baby dedication,s and weddings.
  • Complete regular bible reading/study to be prepared for any required speaking occasions.
  • Prepare for and deliver Sunday morning messages or teaching assignments as required.
  • Attend/Lead Saturday morning prayer.
  • Provide pastoral intervention counseling and care as needed to Union Church attendees
  • Continually pray and seek God on behalf of Union Church and its leadership.

Budget Responsibilities
  • Forecast departmental spending for operations and facilities
  • Manage expenses from the department in accordance with Union financial systems
  • Code Expensify report and prepare it monthly to send reports to the Finance Team.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Flexible schedule. (Workweek is Sunday-Thursday. Frequent night and weekend availability will be requested)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for 30 minutes.
