Wayman is a family owned and operated business that has been serving the local community for 50 years. We design, fabricate, and install fire sprinkler and fire alarm safety systems. We also inspect various safety systems such as; fire suppression, wet and dry sprinkler systems, special hazards and offer fire alarm monitoring. Job Description
We are actively seeking an Inspections Assistant to join our Inspections team and work out in the field. We have two positions available. You must have your own vehicle and live within a fifteen mile radius of Wilmington, DE. Usually, we would have you ride along with an inspector in our trucks. Light industry experience is preferred.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Driver's License & clean driving record
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customers' requirements
  • Strong work ethic and integrity
  • Capable of performing physical labor

Additional Information
Essential Functions:
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions; such as climbing ladders, crawling in tight spaces, climbing scaffolding, and on high lift equipment
  • Able to work with tools and equipment overhead; i.e. smoke detectors testing and cleaning
  • Follow and maintain a highly structured inspections schedule
  • Input, retrieve, and archive inspections documents via laptop or tablet computer
  • Complete assigned inspections thoroughly and in a timely fashion
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
