Job Title: Assistant to Controller

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. This role is essential in supporting daily operations, managing employee records, and assisting with payroll, benefits administration, and general office functions. You’ll work alongside an experienced team in a collaborative environment, with opportunities to learn and grow in the role. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll using ADP

  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, supplemental insurance, and 401(k) plans

  • Enroll new employees in benefit plans and remove terminated employees from plans

  • Track employee time and maintain accurate records

  • Manage employee onboarding, including issuing company devices (iPads, iPhones, etc.)

  • Maintain and organize accurate employee files and documentation

  • Reconcile benefit invoices for company payment

  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to track employee-related data

  • Support basic bookkeeping tasks (training available for the right candidate)

  • Assist with general administrative duties as needed

  • Help enforce and track the company safety program, including documenting safety meetings

Qualifications

  • Experience with payroll processing (ADP preferred)

  • Working knowledge of employee benefits and group insurance plans

  • Familiarity with Google Sheets and Google Docs

  • Basic bookkeeping knowledge is a plus (QuickBooks Online experience helpful but not required)
