About the Role
Redhorse transforms how government uses data and technology. The Engineering and Architecture Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality web applications and internal tools. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to architect, build, and continuously improve robust, scalable, and secure systems. The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in modern development frameworks and tools, and brings a proactive approach to enhancing system performance, availability, and scalability. Your work will directly improve the efficiency and security of data access workflows within Redhorse, impacting multiple clients and projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, conduct user research, and translate insights into innovative design solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, support, product, data teams) to understand user pain points and translate them into intuitive software solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team planning sessions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production and development environments.
  • Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and security.
  • Integrate with internal and third-party systems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain tools and systems that improve operational efficiency, internal workflows, and customer-facing functions.
Required Experience/Clearance
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI FS Polygraph
  • Bachelor's Degree in Cloud Computing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity.
  • Ten (10)+ years of architecture and engineering experience in the IC.
  • Demonstrated six (6)+ years of experience in architecting and engineering classified IC systems.
  • Certified in AWS or equivalent cloud technology. 
  • Three (3)+ years of experience using C2C or C2E to deliver technical solutions. 
Desired Experience
  • Master's degree in any of the above disciplines.
  • Experience designing and documenting information systems in DoDAF architecture models and views. 
  • Experience with data visualization, aggregation, and reporting tool such as iPowerBI, Tableau.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and NoSQL data solutions, SQL, and other query languages. 
  • Experience with AI/ML.
  • 10+ years working in the IC.
$175,000 - $225,000 a year
The salary range provided for this position represents the anticipated base salary for successful candidates. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, security clearance level, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in Redhorse's comprehensive benefits programs and may be eligible for performance-based or other incentive compensation, where applicable.
