The Kitchen Support Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all stewarding operations within the casinoโs culinary outlets, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency. This role plays a critical part in maintaining sanitation compliance, supporting kitchen operations, and leading the stewarding team. The Kitchen Support Supervisor will also support culinary execution through cross-training on the line and assist during high-volume periods or staffing shortages.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Inventory and Receiving Oversight
โข Validate and verify all incoming orders to ensure accuracy, quality, and proper storage
โข Oversee proper rotation (FIFO), labeling, and organization of all products in storage areas
โข Communicate discrepancies or quality concerns with vendors and culinary leadership
Sanitation and Compliance
โข Ensure all kitchen cooler temperature logs are completed accurately daily
โข Monitor and enforce completion of dish machine logs, ensuring proper chemical levels and sanitation standards
โข Maintain compliance with all health department regulations and internal food safety standards
Team Leadership and Accountability
โข Supervise and direct stewarding staff to ensure completion of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks
โข Conduct routine walkthroughs of all kitchen areas to ensure cleanliness and organization standards are upheld
โข Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to stewarding team members
โข Hold team accountable for attendance, performance, and adherence to policies
Operational Support
โข Cross-train and maintain proficiency on the kitchen line to support operations during peak business periods or callouts
โข Assist culinary team with prep or service as needed to maintain smooth operations
โข Act as a bridge between stewarding and culinary teams to ensure seamless communication
Facility Cleanliness and Organization
โข Oversee the overall cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including dish rooms, storage areas, walk-ins, and prep spaces
โข Implement and maintain deep cleaning schedules
โข Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and chemicals
Additional duties as assigned

Opportunities for Internships, Apprenticeships, and Coordinated Work Study programs may be available in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for this position for enrolled members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.
1) Required Education: High School Diploma or GED
2) Work Experience:
โข 2โ4 years of stewarding or kitchen operations experience, preferably in a high-volume or casino environment
โข Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
3) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
โข Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
โข Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
โข Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
โข Effective leadership and team management abilities
โข Excellent communication and follow-up skills

4) Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements:
โข Must have or be able to obtain food handlersโ certification upon hire
5) Must be 18+ years old and be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays as deemed necessary.
6) Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a drug test and background check to obtain and maintain a valid AZ TGO Gaming License.
7) Must adhere to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
8) Must be able to communicate and interact with Guests, fellow Team Members, and Management in a professional, positive, and courteous manner.
