Job description

The Goddard School of Bothell is now under new ownership. We currently also own The Goddard School of Kent and The Goddard School of Federal Way. Location opened on June 26th. We are hiring lead teachers, assistant teachers, and floater teachers for the shifts of 7AM - 4PM, 8AM - 5PM, and 9AM - 6PM. All interviews will be virtual through Teams.
We are seeking energetic and compassionate Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and Floater teachers to work in Infant, Toddler, Preschool, or Prek classes. Each classroom is staffed with a lead teacher and assistant teacher who work together along with the rest of our faculty to create a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment for our families. Our school is led by a Director and an On-site Owner. As administrators we will strive to create a safe, positive, and supportive work environment for our faculty every day. In order to educate their class and ensure success, teachers should maintain a positive attitude, be energetic about the subjects they teach, and share a passion for learning themselves.
Qualifications
  • US work authorization (Required)
  • Early Childhood Education: 2 year (Preferred)
  • Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)

Our Lead Teachers and Assistant teachers are responsible for:
Stimulating their classroom with educational and creative lesson planning. Teachers construct their own lesson plan using Frog Street and utilize additional resources to include a variety of enrichment programs including yoga, sign language, and music & movement. Communicating in a professional manner with families and co-workers. Working as a team with an Assistant Teacher and member of our Support Staff. Upholding Goddard Quality Assurance Health & Safety standards.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Advance children's physical and intellectual competence through quality teacher-created lesson planning that utilizes gathered assessment data.
  • Support each child's social and emotional development and provide positive guidance.
  • Establish positive and effective family relations through professional communication.
  • Ensure an effective program, which is responsive to children's needs.
  • Proficient with interpersonal communication between children peers and parents.
  • Must maintain professional commitment to the Goddard play-based philosophy.
  • Applicants should have a love of teaching, working with children, and have the desire to learn and grow within the early childhood education field.

Lead Teacher are required to have:
  • CDA, a Bachelors or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or be working towards completing their degree or CDA certification. (Some exceptions made based off experience)
  • Experiences working with desired aged group. (Infant, Toddler, and/or Preschool)
  • Good References
  • You must have the willingness and ability to apply our developed philosophy and have a desire to impact the life of a child. We are seeking high energy, responsible educators to build relationships with our families, teach our children, and provide a loving nurturing environment in which children can grow with our program.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds

  • A Portable Background Check (through Merit)
  • The following required prerequisite: Negative Tb Test, CPR/First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens Training, WA State Food Handlers, and proof of MMR immunization.
