Position Details:

  • Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday,
  • 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Responsibilities:
  • Be present, engage and respond along with the children.
  • Plan environments and experiences to provoke children's thinking. ​
  • Maintain an attractive and engaging classroom. ​
  • Document children's progress based on their curiosities. ​
  • Ensure compliance with all DCYF regulations. ​

Qualifications:

  • Classroom experience working with children 24- 36 months.
  • Respect for children with a joyful and present attitude every day. ​
  • Ability to create a dynamic environment where play and learning thrive. ​
  • Ability to document children's play and plan accordingly for future experiences.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. ​

Requirements:

  • Cleared DCYF background check before start date
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification. ​
  • Bloodborne pathogen training. ​
  • Food Handler’s Card. ​
  • Proof of negative TB test ​

Preferences:

  • Two years of experience teaching in a toddler classroom. ​
  • Early childhood education degree (BA or AA preferred). ​
  • 30 hours of STARS training completed. ​
  • Fluent Bilingual written and verbal skills are a plus. ​
