Your work environment at EXP

Our Infrastructure Group is seeking a Quality & Environmental Management Systems Specialist to support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS).

Working closely with project teams, technical staff, and operational leaders, the successful candidate will support audits, document control, compliance, risk management, corrective actions, performance monitoring, and continual improvement initiatives across the organization.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Maintain and improve ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
  • Develop, update, and control procedures, work instructions, templates, forms, and records.
  • Administer document and records management processes.
  • Support integration and alignment of quality and environmental management practices.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal audits and support external certification audits.
  • Monitor compliance with management system requirements, corporate policies, and regulatory obligations.
  • Track audit findings and corrective actions to closure.
  • Facilitate identification, assessment, and monitoring of quality, environmental, operational, and business risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain risk registers and support periodic reviews.
  • Support environmental aspects and impacts assessments, environmental objectives, compliance programs, sustainability initiatives, and incident investigations.
  • Monitor risk mitigation measures and environmental performance indicators.
  • Track non-conformances, incidents, audit findings, and improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Monitor effectiveness of corrective actions and identify opportunities to improve organizational performance, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs, objectives, and management system performance metrics.
  • Support management reviews, performance reporting, and trend analysis.
  • Assist in developing and delivering training and awareness programs.
  • Promote a culture of quality, environmental stewardship, accountability, and continual improvement.

What your experience looks like

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business Administration, Quality Management, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in quality management, environmental management, engineering consulting, infrastructure, construction, project delivery, compliance, or operational excellence.
  • Experience supporting audits, document control, compliance programs, management systems, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Effective technical writing, document review, and reporting abilities.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
  • Knowledge of risk management, risk-based thinking, root cause analysis, and non-conformance management. Familiarity with environmental compliance, sustainability practices, and performance management in engineering, infrastructure, or project delivery environments.
  • ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 Foundation or Internal Auditor training and ISO 19011 Auditing Principles training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams).

The salary range for this role is between $55K - $65K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
