Job Summary

Under the supervision of the People and Culture Systems Analyst, the People and Culture Data Analyst will provide key support in the on-going maintenance and further system development of the HRIS System, UKG Ready/Kronos - collaborating with other People and Culture team members, Department Directors, Program Managers, Database Developers, and other users, as needed. This includes conducting research, developing ideas and resources, and implementing system changes needed to ensure a smooth and efficient user experience.

This position will serve as a critical role in evaluating, organizing, and clearly communicating trends and other observations of data across the agency. This includes the ability to conceptualize complex concepts, and provide clear, concise, and relevant information needed for decision-making using Structured Query Language (SQL), Excel, and Power BI.

The People and Culture Data Analyst will provide support for key People and Culture areas such as compensation analysis, processing, and tracking; program audit support; and compliance oversight; and developing and providing on-going support for People and Culture data requests from internal and external stakeholders. This position will provide a high level of technical support to the People and Culture team and other internal teams, while ensuring compliance with People and Culture processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

People and Culture Data

  • Create and maintain the system for providing complex and simple People andCulture data reports to internal and external stakeholders in a consistent and clear way.
  • Pull, build custom reports, respond to P&C related data requests from internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze recruitment, promotion, and turnover data - and provide reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Become a highly proficient administrator-level user of UKG Ready/Kronos to provide on-going support to users and develop appropriate on-going training resources and system updates (in partnership with People and Culture Systems Analyst).
  • Oversee completion of annual reporting requirements (e.g. annual salary surveys).

Compensation

  • Analyze results from annual salary surveys and aggregate external salary data to compare against current agency compensation ranges; propose updates to compensation ranges to ensure positions remain competitive and equitable.
  • Oversee compensation tracking and ensure responsiveness to findings from gender, race, and longevity analysis, and other internal analysis.
  • Assist in development of agency wide imports of updated salary and position changes.

Compliance

  • Oversee internal program and benefit audit requests, ensuring accuracy of records and reports.
  • Oversight and management of external databases or tools used at the agency for licensing compliance - such as MERIT.
  • Oversee compliance regulations for other benefit or People and Culture-related compliance areas.
  • Maintain current knowledge of People and Culture regulations. Ensure compliance with and enforcement of all legislative requirements.

Other Support

  • Create and maintain People and Culture surveys.
  • Provide key support in People and Culture team projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in HRIS system administration and/or technical People and Culture data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a culturally diverse workplace dedicated to equity and inclusion.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and solution-oriented problem-solving skills and exhibit independent judgment while applying consistent discretion to evaluate and resolve issues in the best interest of both the organization and employees.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience presenting to a variety of audiences would be an advantage.
  • Proven analytical skills including ability to evaluate, visualize, articulate, and solve both complex and uncomplicated problems and concepts, to define a problem, present alternatives, analyze and quantify, relevant factors for decision making.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize with relatively limited supervision.
  • This is a hybrid role, attending occasional onsite meetings, audits, or other agency events as needed is required.
  • Willingness to comply with the established agency performance standards which may include productivity/personal responsibility, client/customer service-orientation, embracing a team player orientation, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Must have strong technical and analytical skills in the MS Office Suite.
  • Intermediate/analytical experience with SQL and Excel.

Desired Qualifications

  • Administrator-level of experience with UKG/Kronos Workforce Ready system.
  • 1-3 years' experience in Compensation Analysis

Required Credentials

  • Must pass Neighborhood House background check requirements.
  • Position requires Washington State bi-annual criminal background re-check.
  • Department of Early Learning portable background check.

Post-Hire on-the-job Training Requirements

  • Child Abuse and Neglect training (within 2 weeks of hire).
  • Current First Aid Certificate within 30 days of hire.
  • Current CPR Certificate within 30 days of hire.
  • Sexual Harassment Training within 30 days of hire.
