JOB PURPOSE:

Focusing in Enrollment Management, Financial Aid, and Student Financials (Undergraduate Admissions, Curriculum & Advising, Records/Registration, Financial Aid, and Student Financials), the purpose of this role is to ensure Workday Student operations are efficient and effective while aligning with the organization's business objectives. This position serves as a critical liaison with other Business Units and IT in translating business needs into solutions to support a seamless user experience.


SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:

This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but requires the ability to collaborate across different teams. The incumbent may occasionally provide guidance to other analysts or team members as necessary.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

Operating within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, this role contributes to the organization's operational efficiency by supporting Workday Student Information System configurations and resolving functional area-related challenges. The incumbent will engage with stakeholders to ensure that functional areas requirements are met while supporting functional area operations. The position demands a high level of analytical thinking, technical expertise, and strong communication skills and collaboration within the organization.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Serve as the Student Information Systems partner supporting designated Student areas in Workday, such as Admissions, Academic Foundations, Curriculum, Records/Registration, Advising, and Financial Aid
  • Provide consultation to and collaborate with operational Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in student areas, the operational staff and management
  • Collaborate with other functional areas and technical teams to build domain knowledge and technical requirements, providing solutions and impact analysis on design decisions
  • Serve as technical subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday capabilities with a creative approach to solutions
  • Stay updated on new features and technical specifications within the application's future roadmap and support feature adoption
  • Support business units in evaluation and testing during releasees and updating functionality in order to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use of Workday
  • Analyze and translate functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications to design functionality based on functional and technical requirements
  • Design, change, configure and implement functionality to meet business unit requirements, including configuring Business Processes, supporting inbound and outbound integrations (monitor performance, issues and changes), and assisting with security and access while ensuring configuration is designed to meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Design and develop custom reports and calculated fields, including support to maintain/build EIBs, Core Connectors, and Studio integrations while ensuring interfaces are scalable, secure, and compliant with data governance policies.
  • Support business units in testing, such as with configuration, integrations, security, and releases
  • Assist business units in maintaining master data values in Workday as pertains to the Student Information System functionality
  • Provide support for existing functionality through incident management and serve as an escalation resource for technical assistance with issues that are received from users, support system requests and incident resolution, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions, and document resolutions and maintain knowledge base articles.
  • Support business units in analyzing impacts to configuration based on new releases or updates to system functionality, suggest or recommend and apply changes
  • Liaise with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, Student, and IT teams to support cross-functional initiatives working closely with operational subject matter experts, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Provide input and knowledge sharing with Workday technical and business unit team members and clients, as appropriate; providing technical guidance and training to stakeholders, as needed.
  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen
  • Understand and follow Governance protocol and ensure attention to security and data privacy standards, including data quality, accuracy and integrity through analysis, clear documentation, and problem resolution
  • Understand and follow defined development standards and best practices

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of training and work experience
  • 5+ years of Workday Student experience and training
  • Student experience specific to the functional and system experience

Expected Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000
