Responsibilities

  • Ensure interactions with internal and external guests follow the guidelines of the ACES Customer Service Program.
  • Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at ends of shifts, and calculate daily transactions.
  • Count currency, coins, and checks received, by hand or using currency-counting machine.
  • Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance.
  • Receives soft count funds from the count room, revenue drops from other departments.
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels and balance the NRT kiosks for a specific shift.
  • Assist Supervisor with deposits to outside banking institution.
  • Communicate status of fluctuating cash levels to appropriate management.
  • Works the Player Services frontline window as assigned.
  • Answers phone calls with proper phone etiquette.
  • Complies with state, company, department policies and regulations.
  • Assists supervisors and co-workers as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One plus years of cashiering experience and/or heavy money handling experience.
  • Able to promptly and accurately follow instructions given by Supervisor or Manager
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interrupt bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be licensed by the Maine Gaming Board
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
