Job description

Job Title: Usher Assistant Supervisor              

                                                         

Job Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for guests visiting Kauffman Stadium. This includes training and supervising ballpark Ushers, who are responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable experience for guests and safely and accurately showing fans to designated seating area.

 

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and guest-friendly environment and enforce company policies 
  • Train and supervise Ushers 
  • Responsible for department personnel paperwork including disciplinary and payroll 
  • Responsible for scheduling employees and approving payroll using Dayforce, when needed 
  • Listen to guests & help address any concerns they may have 
  • Seek out opportunities to talk with guests & get to know season ticket members 
  • Be “aggressively friendly” to all guests 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred 
  • 5+ years Guest Service experience preferred 
  • Experience with Dayforce Payroll System preferred, but not required 
  • Available to work all home games, including holidays, weekends, and evenings 
  • Able to work in high-pressure environment 
  • Professional demeanor and excellent verbal and written communication skills required 
  • Must be team-oriented, extremely outgoing, and motivated 
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time 
  • Must have availability on days, nights, weekends, and holidays

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to withstand hot and humid temperatures as well as frigid temperatures
  • Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling

This role is a Part-Time, Non-Exempt opportunity that is not eligible for Company Benefits, 401K, and PTO. The schedule for this position is dependent on our team schedule and is subject to change.
