Job description

At Pavilion Construction, we're BUILDING YOUR VISION.

That means more than building the places our clients envision. It means building careers, developing leaders, and creating opportunities for people who want to make an impact.

As a Superintendent, you'll provide leadership and management for construction site activities while serving as a primary point of contact for site-related communications. You'll oversee site safety, quality assurance, scheduling, coordination, and day‑to‑day construction operations while working closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, architects, inspectors, and other project partners.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, solves problems proactively, and takes pride in creating a safe, organized, efficient, and high‑quality jobsite.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and manage construction site activities from project startup through delivery
  • Serve as a primary Pavilion point of contact for construction site communications and operations
  • Administer the site safety plan and promote safe working conditions throughout the project
  • Assist the Project Manager in developing and maintaining a site‑specific safety plan
  • Communicate and enforce safety expectations with Pavilion staff, subcontractors, and other trade partners
  • Coordinate subcontractor pre‑construction meetings and verify required agreements and documentation are in place before work begins
  • Create, publish, communicate, administer, and update the four‑week production schedule
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain alignment with the overall project schedule and budget goals
  • Hold subcontractors and suppliers accountable to their scopes of work, contract terms, schedules, and production expectations
  • Maintain an organized, clean, professional, and efficient jobsite that reflects the Pavilion brand
  • Review construction documents, plans, specifications, and bid documents to understand Pavilion's project obligations
  • Identify deviations, inconsistencies, and conflicts in construction documents and coordinate their resolution
  • Manage and communicate RFIs, ASIs, submittals, issue logs, and other project documentation
  • Maintain complete record drawings and as‑built information throughout the project
  • Support Pavilion's quality assurance goals, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate government and third‑party inspections and facilitate timely resolution of non‑conforming or non‑compliant work
  • Assist the Project Manager with punch list and project delivery procedures
  • Identify and proactively resolve logistical, procedural, quality, scheduling, and scope‑of‑work conflicts
  • Investigate jobsite accidents and communicate details with the Project Manager and HR
  • Lead site coordination and weekly safety meetings with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Prepare and maintain daily reports, daily photographs, meeting documentation, and other critical project records
  • Ensure project documents are created and stored in compliance with Pavilion's Document Management Protocol
  • Provide leadership, direction, and professional development to Pavilion staff and, when applicable, Assistant Superintendents
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier performance at project completion and communicate performance considerations with Project Management and Estimating/Purchasing
What You'll Bring

We're looking for a Superintendent who is:

  • A strong construction leader who takes ownership of the jobsite and project outcomes
  • Experienced in construction site safety, quality assurance, scheduling, and field coordination
  • Highly organized and able to coordinate numerous activities and groups of people in a collaborative environment
  • A clear and effective written and verbal communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • A proactive problem solver who can identify conflicts and work toward timely, effective resolutions
  • Experienced in reading and interpreting construction documents, plans, specifications, and bidding documents
  • Comfortable communicating with clients, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal project teams
  • Knowledgeable in project scheduling, production planning, and subcontractor coordination
  • Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining professionalism, organization, and attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Viewpoint
  • Knowledgeable in dispute resolution and financial and job cost accounting
  • Committed to continued professional development and helping those around you grow
