Job description


Job Summary
The Assistant Subsea is predominantly the trainee of the Subsea Department. This position is responsible for the performance of all marine related subsea and surface well control, and associated equipment and scheduled work and reports to the Senior Subsea Engineer and the Subsea Engineer.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for safety as well as that of the crew.
  • Attends and participates in all pre-tour, post tour, and weekly safety meetings.
  • Performs all work according to agreed expectations of both internal and external customers, focuses on doing things right first time, every time and contribute actively to continual improvement activities.
  • Conducts inspection, maintenance, and repair rounds on all Subsea related equipment.
  • Performs Subsea department daily checks filling out the checklist as required.
  • Participates in weekly STOP tour with Subsea Department Personnel.
  • Ensures cleanliness and good housekeeping in work area.
  • Keeps written hand-over notes to ensure efficient and accurate transfer of information.
  • Reports all defects to the immediate Supervisor.
    Qualifications / Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required with a minimum of two (2) years offshore experience.
  • Fluent English communication skill both written and oral.
  • Completion of all mandatory training and certification requirements for Assistant Subsea Engineer.
