Position Summary
The Assistant Squash Professional supports the daily operations and programming of the squash department at Boar's Head Resort Sports Club. This role assists in delivering exceptional member and guest experiences through professional instruction, court management, event coordination, junior development programs, clinics, and member engagement activities.
The ideal candidate is energetic, service-focused, organized, and passionate about racquet sports while maintaining the luxury hospitality standards associated with Boar's Head Resort.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Member & Guest Experience
  • Deliver a high level of personalized service to members and resort guests
  • Build strong relationships with members through professional, engaging interactions
  • Promote a welcoming and inclusive squash environment for all skill levels
  • Assist with member retention and engagement initiatives

Instruction & Programming
  • Conduct private and group squash lessons for juniors and adults
  • Assist with clinics, camps, leagues, tournaments, and special events
  • Support development of junior squash programming and player progression
  • Provide instructional feedback and coaching aligned with industry best practices
  • Encourage participation in racquet sports programming and activities

Operations & Court Management
  • Assist with daily court scheduling and reservations
  • Ensure courts and equipment are maintained in clean, safe, and professional condition
  • Monitor inventory of squash equipment and supplies
  • Support tournament preparation, match coordination, and event execution
  • Assist with enforcing club policies and safety procedures

Team Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively with Sports Club leadership and other departments
  • Support front desk and member communication as needed
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and resort initiatives
  • Maintain professionalism consistent with Forbes-level hospitality standards

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Prior squash coaching, instruction, or competitive playing experience preferred
  • US Squash certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Previous experience in a club, resort, collegiate, or athletic environment preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed
  • CPR/AED certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Ability to demonstrate squash techniques and participate in on-court instruction
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work in an active athletic environment
