Position Information
Job Title Sports Information Auxiliary Student Assistant (Federal Work Study) (2 Positions) Position Summary
The student employee will report directly to the Sports Information Director and provide assistance in all aspects of the department. The student position works closely with department staff to promote all 23 sports through RamSports.net, and social and news media outlets, as well as assists with the management of the Texas Wesleyan Game Day experience. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Electronic filing, data entry, and organizing office materials and equipment News writing. 
Assist with post-game recaps, pre-game stories, and feature stories for all 20 of Texas Wesleyan Athletics programs. Game Day. 
Helps with the set-up, in-game and post-game duties. 
Assist with the management of all Texas Wesleyan Athletics social media accounts on a daily basis. 
Education, Certifications and/or Licenses
Needs at least 12 completed credit hours. 
Experience
Journalism, live streaming, and working in a sport setting are desired, but not required. 
Graphic Design and Video Editing experience is strongly desired as well as proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud elements. 
Working in an office setting and/or event management and promotion, as well as social media management a plus. 
Applicants with a willingness to learn, or experience in state programs such as DakStats and/or Stat Crew desired. 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must have a working knowledge of individual sports including, but not limited to football, basketball, baseball, softball, and volleyball. 
Ability to write creatively and tell a compelling story. 
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time desired. 
Ability to be creative and critical thinking. 
Ability to have a high-energy personality and strong work ethic. 
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 software including but not limited to Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive. 
Knowledge of standard and digital filing procedures. 
Working knowledge of mainstream social media outlets. 
The ability to meet deadlines, and strong attention to detail. 
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and changing priorities. 
Strong dependability - reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations. 
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision. 
Ability to maintain confidentiality, while complying withFERPAregulations. 
Ability to adhere to University & departmental policies and procedures.
