Job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of speech therapy techniques and be passionate about helping individuals improve their communication skills. This role has the potential to be clinic and/or school based work.

Duties

  • Work with our SLP team to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions, focusing on improving communication abilities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and families to support patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and the therapeutic process.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.

Experience

  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech-language pathology.
  • Familiarity with early intervention strategies and patient care practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
