Position: Intermediate/Senior Bridge Engineer

Location: Fredericton, New Brunswick or Halifax Nova Scotiaย 
Department: Transportation Engineering

Are you ready to design your future? We're seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation team and contribute to the design, planning, and rehabilitation of roadway structures, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in bridge and roadway structure condition assessments.
  • Plan and develop schematic/geometric layouts for new structures.
  • Perform structural analysis and design calculations in compliance with Canadian design codes.
  • Utilize advanced software tools such as STAAD, Altair Suite, and StructurePoint Suite for structural design.
  • Collaborate with drafting teams to prepare construction drawings and details.
  • Conduct material quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and life-cycle analyses.
  • Assist in preparing construction specifications and design briefs.
  • Support construction administration, including shop drawing reviews and RFIs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 4-8 years of experience in bridge design and evaluation.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in a Canadian province, with intent to register in New Brunswick (Mandatory).
  • Experience with OSIM bridge inspections or similar standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MS Office.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
