Job Summary

Responsible for proper function and maintenance of all gaming devices, their related components and support systems.

Essential Job Duties

  1. Maintains confidentiality on all internal departmental matters, correspondence and proprietary data.
  2. Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners.
  3. Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
  4. Responsible for proper resolutions of machine variances, par deviations and other system anomalies.
  5. Assists Slot Director in slot analysis, projections, budgeting and purchasing for the Slot Department.
  6. Assists Slot Director (or in conjunction with the Slot Shift Manager) in formulating and implementing goals and objectives of the Slot Department.
  7. Communicates and networks effectively with staff, other departments, and outside representatives in order to maintain a productive and
    effective department operation.
  8. Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.
  9. Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.

Supplemental Job Duties

  1. Properly manages inventory control and ensures budgetary compliance.
  2. Attends all required meetings and training sessions.
  3. Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will have the authority to; make decisions necessary for carrying out the above listed job duties, assist in status determinations of employees, provide training opportunities, recommend merit increases, evaluate performance, create and adjust performance standards, create and/or delegate staff scheduling and invoke disciplinary action. This position may have other supervisory authority assigned as necessary through management. This position has the authority, through proper channels, to procure any supplies and or equipment needed for the operation of the department. This position directly supervises all Slot Technicians, the Lead Technician and the Bench Technician. This position has signatory authority for transaction verifications per Internal Control Verification requirements, machine access keys, machine drop access keys and short pay authorization.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

May be exposed to loud and continual noise levels in an environment where smoking is allowed. Some lifting up to 25 pounds may be required, otherwise normal office environment. In-town and out-of-town travel will be required. Must be confidential.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences: High School graduate/GED. Associates degree in electronics technology with four (4) years experience as Slot Technician Supervisor and satisfactory completion of electronic industry trade school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of Theory of Operation of gaming devices and support systems. Must have working knowledge of Tribal Compact provisions and the Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS). Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.

Skills/Abilities: Must be able to meet deadlines and work independently without supervision. Must be flexible with working hours and days off. Must be self-motivated, responsible and must possess leadership qualities. Must possess good communication and writing skills; effectively instruct and guide all technicians and ensure proper communication to the Slot Director. Possess tact, diplomacy and initiative in resolving of guest or employee concern and ensuring interdepartmental cooperation. Must be able to meet all internal supervisory or higher, training and education requirements.

Preference: Members of the Meskwaki Nation and other Native American Tribes who are qualified applicants are encouraged to apply and will be given preference in accordance to established procedures.

Restrictions

This position is PROHIBITED from playing all casino games while on duty, except as authorized for employee tournaments. Otherwise, this position is PROHIBITED from playing slots while on or off duty. Employees and members of the household are prohibited from entering company contests and giveaways established for our guests.
