Position Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to support inventory control and logistics operations at our Morton, Illinois facility. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, supporting production material flow, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities


Inventory Control

• Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system.

• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory activities.

• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

• Process inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments.


Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers, customers, and transportation providers.

• Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and other required documents.

• Track shipments and provide timely status updates to internal stakeholders.

• Schedule carrier pickups and deliveries to support operational needs.


Production & Warehouse Support

• Coordinate material movement between warehouse and production areas.

• Ensure materials are available to support production schedules.

• Communicate inventory shortages or delivery issues that may impact manufacturing operations.

• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to improve material flow and inventory accuracy.


Qualifications


Required

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control, logistics, warehouse operations, or manufacturing support.

• Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


Preferred

• Experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment.

• Familiarity with shipping documentation and transportation coordination.

• Knowledge of inventory control best practices and warehouse operations.


Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments.

• Occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
