This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate cranes (e.g., mechanical boom and cable, friction cranes or hydraulic and cable equipment) to lift, move, and place materials, equipment, and structural components as directed.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and complete required safety and maintenance checks.
  • Work closely with signal persons, riggers, and site personnel to coordinate safe lifts and load placement.
  • Follow lift plans, site procedures, and all applicable safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor load weights, weather conditions, ground stability, and other site factors that may affect safe operations.
  • Assist with rigging activities as needed, ensuring loads are properly secured before movement.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members throughout lifting operations.
  • Report equipment issues, hazards, and incidents promptly to supervision.
  • Support foundation-related construction activities while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating cranes in construction, foundation, or related heavy equipment environments.
  • Knowledge of crane safety practices, rigging fundamentals, and load handling procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret site instructions, lift plans, and hand signals.
  • Strong focus on safety, situational awareness, and operational accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in varying outdoor conditions.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the role in a demanding jobsite environment.
  • Valid certification or license to operate crane equipment, as required by local regulations and employer standards.
  • Reliable attendance, good communication skills, and a professional work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting foundation, utility, or heavy civil construction projects.
  • Familiarity with different crane types and lifting attachments.
  • Additional safety certifications such as rigging or signal person training.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work on impactful construction and foundation projects.
  • A team-oriented environment with a strong commitment to safety.
