Is SFTP still used today?

SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) remains widely used in the field of IT and cybersecurity for secure file transfers, especially by professionals like system administrators and network engineers. It is considered a reliable and secure method for transferring sensitive data over networks, and many organizations continue to rely on it for compliance and security reasons.

What is an SFTP job?

An SFTP job involves managing and maintaining secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) servers and processes to ensure safe and efficient transfer of files between systems. It often requires knowledge of network security, scripting, and server administration, and may involve troubleshooting transfer issues or automating file transfers.

Does SFTP support resume?

SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) generally does not support resuming interrupted file transfers natively. However, some SFTP clients and servers implement features like partial transfer resumption or checkpoint restart, which can help resume large file uploads or downloads. As an Assistant Sftp, familiarity with client tools that support resuming transfers can improve efficiency in file management tasks.
