About the Job
CatFace is looking for a talented and driven Video game Cinematographer to join the Cinematics team in the creation of engaging out of player in game content.
What You'll Do
  • Break up intros, cut scenes, and full videos providing a shot list from the script provided
  • Film scripted, story driven, long form, content in many styles and themes.
  • Direct a group of body actors and seeing the the video or project through from start to finish in collaboration with the Creative Lead on a project
  • Film and edit shorts as needed, creating camera profiles based off of the animation from the Blockbuster Animator
  • Assist with collecting assets, sets, and post production needed information for the Lead Cinematographer as needed
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues in Minecraft instances the Cinematics team is working in as needed
  • Learn the techniques used for CG Cinematography and utilize them in intros, shorts, long form, and other projects
  • Helping with stats and tracking
  • Assist with research for future shorts and videos in Minecraft
  • Assist the Creative Lead with any other tasks as needed

What We're Looking For
  • Must have 2-3 years experience in Cinematography and knowledge in terms and techniques of camera usage.
  • 1 year of editing experience in Adobe Premiere
  • A creative eye for content to be able to execute the vision of the script/story
  • Knowledge of the game engines like Minecraft
  • Knowledge of the YouTube platform and the ability to analyze upcoming trends in editing styles. Constantly looking to improve the quality of videos using new styles.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.
  • Ability to work both independently and with small teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced entertainment environment and shift gears at a moment's notice.
  • Great and timely communication skills are a must
  • Be able to hit deadlines
  • Must be based in the Austin TX area or willing to relocate
