ROLE SUMMARY
The Assistant Project Manager & Scheduler will be responsible for schedule compliance and coordination with project teams on technology and low-voltage scopes of work, including internal and external employees, vendors, and subcontractors. Responsibilities also include supporting RFIs, Change Orders, and Owner-Furnished IT Equipment coordination. This individual is expected to serve as a subject matter expert who demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and project management skills while overseeing the overall technology schedule for a healthcare construction project.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
  • Support all aspects of the company's safety culture by promoting an injury-free work environment through personal leadership and mentoring.
  • Manage overall scheduling, progress control, and project monitoring, including:
    • Construction scheduling
    • Owner IT equipment installation schedules
    • Trade-specific breakout schedules
  • Serve in a role that is approximately 70% Scheduler and 30% Assistant Project Manager, working alongside the on-site project team.
  • Manage progress measurement systems utilizing Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project utilizing Critical Path Method (CPM).
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze:
    • Baseline schedules
    • Updated schedules
    • Revised schedules
    • As-built schedules
  • Maintain schedule actuals, including resource and date updates.
  • Coordinate meetings with clients, internal stakeholders, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Review and manage construction sequencing.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports.
  • Perform schedule analysis and risk management.
  • Develop recovery ("catch-up") schedules when necessary.
  • Analyze schedule delays and prepare Extension of Time (EOT) documentation.
  • Assist with intake and coordination of RFIs, ASIs, CCDs, and Change Orders.
  • Review quantity takeoffs and collaborate with Owner IT teams, vendors, and trade partners to develop accurate budgets and bid proposals.
  • Assist with project financial tracking and scope verification.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Project Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and motivate project team members in a proactive and collaborative manner.
  • Support successful project delivery by achieving financial, quality, and performance objectives.
  • Assist in developing project schedules for:
    • Submittals
    • Shop drawings
    • BIM deliverables
    • Scope additions
    • Mock-ups
    • Training activities
  • Track project milestones and coordinate schedule updates to support progress payments.
  • Communicate, monitor, and resolve project issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all project documentation is properly maintained and archived upon project completion.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing the technology consulting process between Our Client, the project owner, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain professional and technical expertise through continuing education, professional organizations, industry publications, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications
Required Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of scheduling experience on large construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling methodologies including:
    • PERT
    • CPM
    • EVMS
    • DCMA 14-point schedule assessment
  • Advanced proficiency with:
    • Primavera P6
    • Microsoft Project
  • Experience working within complex healthcare or mission-critical construction projects is preferred.
